About Us

We have had an office in Barking since Geoffrey Sternberg started as a sole practitioner over 30 years ago. There are now seventeen partners and more than 40 lawyers. We are a large well established practice acting for clients with a wide range of legal problems. We have held a legal aid franchise since its inception in 1994 and now have a contract with the Legal Services Commission (formally the Legal Aid Board). This enables us to provide legal services with public funding (Legal Aid) in clinical negligence cases. There are only a small number of firms of solicitors in Essex who hold the clinical negligence contract. The contract with the Legal Services Commission is in recognition of our firm's extensive experience and quality service standards in dealing with clinical negligence cases.

Barking is our Head Office where the Clinicial Negligence team is based, but we also have offices in Romford and Grays where we can see our clients.

In 1995 the firm was awarded ISO 9001, which is the European quality accreditation for the service standards provided to our clients. In 1999, we received the Investor in People award, to acknowledge that we continue to train and update our staff within specific areas of law to provide the best possible service to our clients.

We are regularly audited by all three organisations to make sure that our very high standards are maintained.

We have a dedicated team of lawyers dealing with all types of clinical negligence cases. We only deal with cases on behalf of injured people and we are committed to obtaining the best possible settlement in every case.
